Introduction
The Department of Technical Education and Skill Development (DTE&SD), Madhya Pradesh Government has been working to ensure the desired skilled manpower for an all-round development of the state. The Directorate of Skill Development is functioning under DTE&SD, GoMP administers the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state of Madhya Pradesh.
At present, there are 268 Government ITIs, 14 Other Government (Police, jail, Awasiya School ) and 670 Private ITIs in the state of Madhya Pradesh. These Industrial Training Institutes provide skill development training and have seating capacity as mentioned below.

Its mission is to expand opportunities and develop infrastructure for qualitative and employment oriented training to the youth of the state, the major functions of this department is to Coordinate functioning of Government and Private ITIs in the state, Provide job oriented training to unemployed youth and Implement ATS & CTS Schemes.
