SARAL (Syllabus Administered in Regionally Accepted Language)
Introduction & Objective: SARAL is a transformative initiative aimed at overcoming language barriers in technical and higher education by integrating regional languages into the learning process. Leveraging AI-based tools, SARAL seeks to deliver real-time speech conversion and translation of educational content, making learning more accessible and effective for students across Madhya Pradesh.
Key Components & Strategy: The program includes the development of AI-powered speech translation tools, translation of textbooks and digital resources, and teacher training to integrate these tools into classrooms. Implementation will follow a phased approach—starting with research and development, followed by pilot programs in select institutions, and eventually scaling up across the state. Continuous feedback and improvement will ensure the tools remain accurate and learner-focused.
Expected Outcomes & Conclusion: SARAL aims to improve comprehension, academic performance, and inclusivity by enabling students to learn in their native languages.
